GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
The Ashiyan Medical College is committed to provide excellent medical education programmes that produce skilled, proficient dedicated health professions.
OBJECTIVE
- To provide broad based education and professional development for the medical students.
- To help the medical students to give knowledge, skill and attitude to deal with the health problems of the community.
- To build a leading institute based on recognized standard curricula or tailor-made to suit multiple customer needs.
CAMPUS AND LOCATION
A beautifully arranged modern campus with well-equipped academic and hospital buildings is the beauty of the area. It is situated in its own land Ashiyan Shikka Nagor, Barua, Khilkhet, Dhaka-1229 Bangladesh. It is only about 10 minutes drive from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka. It is nearby to Lake City Concord, Pink City & 300 ft. Road.
The college and hospital is housed in a 4 storied building on its own land. The construction of building is now complete. It has got wide areas of open space inside of the building for car parking and other utility purpose. The various departments and wards have been set up and organized in a planned way to serve the need of a modern medical college & hospital.
At present 3 lecture halls with multimedia presentation facilities, administrative block, a modern library with 5000 recent medical text books on different disciplines and internet facilities are available for students as well as academic staff of the college. Ashiyan Medical College & Hospital building, a fully air conditioned, modern, well decorated and equipped hospital accommodates cabins, general wards, consultant chambers, Operation Theater, ICU, dialysis unit, reception, modern diagnostic lab and hospital office.

Preclinical departments have been organized in a befitting manner. The basic departments of Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry and Community Medicine- all departments are well furnished, adequately and suitably equipped for the class rooms, tutorials, dissection hall, laboratories and museums.
The departments required in the later phase are Community Medicine, Forensic Medicine, Pathology, Microbiology and Pharmacology.
The clinical departments such as Medicine, Surgery, Gynae & Obs, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Cardiology (Cath lab & ICU), Oncology, Orthopedic Surgery, Nephrology, Gastroenterology, Anesthesia, Dermatology etc are there in the hospital building.
